We are driving down to the south of france, approx 700 miles. Has anyone got any tips on keeping her happy during this time?We are haveing an overnight stop.

It would be a good idea if you sit in the back with your daughter, that way you can surround yourself with all hers toys and food that will keep her amused. Try to take regular breaks as well so that she can stretch her legs as although you are not flying DVT could still be a problem. Good luck and hope you enjoy your hols you lucky thing!!!

I would have second thoughts about doing that with your 15 month old babe, but the rock of the car will keep her asleep but your not driving all the time are you, so I guess thats when you'll decide whether you were brave or a little foolish. Good journey, a safe one, and enjoy your break

sweets, lots of drink boxes of juice, possibly some small boxed games with few pieces. there are magnetic type puzzes and writing boards that use a magnet and powder is enclosed so no mess, an etch a sketch, large legos, stuffed animals, that sort of stuff put in a small duffel so you can tak it with you into the motel. if all else fails.....Duct tape!

u prob need to stop quite often,she would want to run n get fresh air.
be patient n try to understand whats she needs/wants to do.
toys drinks n food also will keep her busy 4 some time
music:u can get a nursery rymes n tales tape/cd in toy shops.

Put on a kids tape full of sing songs. Ok, it may drive you mad but at least she'll be happy :) And rest assured she'll probably sleep at least some of the time.

Feed her well, bring toys with you, play music in the car (pre school style), take breaks, etc

A portable dvd player with loads of dvds they she really enjoys. (and let her sleep for long periods!). have a good time.
