In the state of Michigan if you get pregnant and dont have any money the list goes on and on with the charities you will recieve. Health insurance that covers everything without a dime to pay for a copayment. Food stamps to pay for all the food. Wic to pay for all the formula and juice. Section 8 will pay your rent. Hud will buy you a brand new home. The state will pay for a new car. They will also pay $1200 to fix a car. They will pay for your gas. They will buy you clothes. They will give you carseats. The list goes on and on and on. How will they get people and teens especially to stop having kids if you live better once you have them. I work my butt off 40 + hours a week and my husband goes to college full time so we can have a good life. The girl I work with had 2 kids before 18 and is only 19 now lives 10 times better then I do. IN the city I live in we have more teen pregnany then any other city in MI and people wonder why! What can be done to stop this?

I saw a program once many years ago (think it was channel 4)about how Africa was once over a 1000 kingdoms untill the colonisers decided to redefine the borders. Not that i can remember much of it. But the subject has been bugging me for a while now.

Was there some sort of formal agreement when they re-divided the african lands and did it have a name? When did it all happen and who got what in the first instance?

Excuse my ignorance, i can google this but i got no clue where to start. This is meant to be an objective question so if you do have to make a stupid comment it will only be a reflection of your ignorance. As for mine, it's why i'm asking the question, i'd like to know what happened in Africa.

Yes I understand people are people etc etc. Race is a collection of physical attributes that when grouped together are given social signifigance. Since these groupings are based on physical characteristics it is reasonable that individuals can have opinions on which set of physical attributes is the most attractive without being racist.

My young son (on my avatar) loves Jesus and thinks he lives in church. I don't want to deny him church, but I don't get positive vibes from the ones I have visited. They are either "fashion show" churches, or "all about the benjamins" churches, or a combo of both. I buy kid level Christian reading/coloring materials for him and am looking for good morals from the bible in a childrens book for bedtime stories. For myself, do I HAVE to be in church to be a good Christian? My spirit tells me no. I have prayed and meditated on it often. What else can I do?

and why do they think iraq under sadaam hussien was a terrorist stae? what terrorist did iraq support? iran openly supports terror but no one evr comes up with why we didn't attack iran.

also, how many terrorist were iraqi citizens? it seems only our allies, that being saudi arabia, egypt, the uae, jordan and pakistan produces terrorist that attack the US. why no actions against these countries? or at least a hard look at why can these poeple seem to operate freely in our ally countries without much fear of getting caught from their GOV.

My 4 1/2 month old son has been showing the signs of teething for a few weeks now...he is drooling like crazy, gives into fits of screaming while shoving his whole fist in his mouth. I am worried about giving him Orajel if he is not teething, can it hurt him if he isn't teething and I put some on? I usually end up putting on once a day because I get desperate-he only shows these signs in spurts, not consistantly. Any ideas?

I've known my friend for a few years now. I only see him over the summer, since his family has a summer house near me, and we live on a lake. The first time I saw him this summer (at his house), he started to get very shy around me (and he never was this shy before). Then, when we went in the water, he started to get a lot more talkative than he ever was. We were playing with a beach ball, and when he tried to get it away from me, I held it out in front of me (he was behind me), and he grabbed me around my waist to get it from me.
After I told my other friend about this, and we all went to the nearby beach (still on the lake), and we were swimming, my other friend told me that she noticed he was watching me and inching towards me the entire time- when I was underwater, when I was climbing up the ladder onto the raft, when I was on the raft, etc..........
Do you think he likes me? I'm not asking this because I like him, because I don't think I do(in that way),but I just want to know.

There were terrorism going on with your own hands for a long time.
Saddam was a man supported by US.
Bin Laden was working against Soviet Russia with the help of US.
A lot of terrorist groups have been supported by western countries for their benefit.

Now all of a sudden the whole western civilization decides to destroy terrorism that hits them.

What were you doing before that?Why didn't you react when it was killing other people that you don't want to see?

Your countries were destabilizing whole middle-east to control it easily.That's what happens when you play with fire.

You've helped the terrorist organizations that was killing thousands of people in your ally's country.(Referring US helping PKK in Turkey) (*PKK is accepted as a terrorist group by US government)

PKK killing babies in Turkey became ''Freedom Fighters'' but the ones that you are fighting are terrorists.
Don't you think it's unfair.

I refuse to eat while on bed rest. I was a raw vegan before I found out I was Anemic and then my doctor and parents are forcing me to eat meat, cheese, and all that fattening, disgusting food. My mom says if I don't eat for 5 days I'm going to get really sick since I'm on iron pills and all.

I've fast for 7 days+ before. I'm not asking if fasting is good or not, or your personal opinion on fasting with water. I'm just asking what are the consequenses of fasting as an Anemic on bed rest.
