are we all too immature and irresponsible to take care of our own lives, or should the government be in charge of everything and telling us what to do, how to act, what to do to keep us safe by passing all kinds of laws to help protect us, what is your opinion?

Your 'additional information' hit it closest.
Democrats want to control your money, and leave your moral choices alone. Republicans want to control your morality, and only take your money to pay for the military.
Granted, both of those are huge exaggerations. But as with many stereotypes, there is some truth to the position.
Personally, I'd rather the government left both my morality and my money alone.

Everyone with a half a lick of common sense knows that the government is the problem. We the people have let the government do what they want for too long, we need to impeach two thirds of the politicians who are in office now and put people in that cannot be bought off by corporate america.

Democrats don't want Communism. We just realize that we are only as strong as our weakest link. We should help the poor to educate and elevate their lives. When a person/family is just scraping by the government should help with education costs, etc. Republicans want a divided country the have's and the have not's.

The far left believes they can take your money and run your life better then you can. They've believed this for years and prove it with every measure from socialized medicine to fighting vouchers for kids in school. Look how they killed social security reform by insuring you have no control and so you get 0.005% return on your investment. (I think its more then that but still you get my drift).
The hardest part for them to get is that when taxes are cut the money is invested and more people have jobs - and thus more people make money and pay more taxes and the governments revenue increases. Its obvious but they just don't get it.

IF YOU WANT IT SCREWED UP , LET GOVERNMENT DO IT !!
It will cost 5X as much , take twice as long And be done by the lowest bidder.
Can you imagine HEALTH CARE run by a commitee of BURRO-CRAZIES ?
They'd need 4 feesability studies , an enviromental impact study
and 16 meetings to decide to fix a hangnail .
The system we have works , leave it alone .

you know the people that complain most about taxes, especially about tax cuts, don't even pay any federal income tax. They are also the ones who demand more and more be done for them, to be given to them. It really is rather obscene but so many just don't want to be educated and work hard and take the lumps life gives us, get back up and keep going. It's govt govt govt.
