We live in a small town and the theatre closed last year. This year the surrounding towns are closing their theaters also. The cost of renting the movies to display and also heating and cooling the buildings is no longer profitable. We have very little for the kids to do. No skating or bike trails, no community center with basketball or ping pong. No mineature golf. I am concerned that withouth some other options the kids will continue to get into trouble out of boredom. I have heard there could be government funding or a non profit organization could take over. How do we apply for this type of assistance?

Many of the basic historical notions found in the Book of Mormon had appeared in print already in 1825, just two years before Smith began producing the Book of Mormon, in a book called View of the Hebrews, by Ethan Smith (no relation) and published just a few miles from where Joseph Smith lived. A careful study of this obscure book led one LDS church official (the historian B. H. Roberts, 1857-1933) to confess that the evidence tended to show that the Book of Mormon was not an ancient record, but concocted by Joseph Smith himself, based on ideas he had read in the earlier book.

A great quote I picked up from somewhere. Basically, the limit of our scientific theory stops at the big bang; the theory goes that the big bang started with a particle exploding that was infinitely light and infinitely small, and had spin. That's as far back as science can go, but what it can't even attempt to explain is how that particle got there in the first place. That's where philosphy and religion start, but PLEASE, if you're religious, DON'T pretend to KNOW or STATE AS FACT that '"God put it there" or "God created it", or "it was created by a 'higher power'". I think alot of conflict arises from beliefs or 'faiths' being stated AS FACT. It gets peoples' backs up, and rightly so - it's called making out you know something that you don't.

I think if religious people were just more careful with their use of language, alot less conflict would arise. Maybe it's the cause of wars!

A friend just told me that he is moving 2 another state 2 start a new job. I feel really--I don't even know. We met while taking a class together a few years ago. We started spending most of our time together 2 the point that everybody thought that we were a couple. I put him on the sideline when a mutual friend told me that he lied about going out of town when he stayed in town & his so-called ex came 2 visit. It pissed me off because he lied & we weren’t at the stage that he had 2 hide the situation. As time progressed, I chilled lesser with him. He'd come pass my office from 2 get advice on things. Two months ago we ran n2 each other & I couldn’t look him in the eye as he did. I felt overwhelmed w/ a funny feeling but acted nonchalant. He was acting like he was holding something back or inside. I felt drained after contact. I loved him-no strings attached. I don't think I will ever forget him. If we were meant to be, too late now.

Today for example telling you who the presidential canidates are for 2008? When the whole election and voting process is a complete SHAM on the American public because of the ruling class in USA! If the election process was legitimate verifiable proof would be availiable such as record copy of your ballot when leaving the polls, public posting of how you voted accessable to all and outside public entities to recount or verify the counties results etc!

BAGHDAD - Gunmen attacked an Iraqi army checkpoint in northern Iraq on Friday, killing 12 soldiers and wounding one, Iraqi army Major General Anwar Hamad Ameen said. The USA Marines and Army were seen in the area but were too scared to help the Iraqi soldiers.

Ameen told Reuters the gunmen attacked the soldiers in Rashaad, (24 miles) south of Kirkuk, with rocket propelled grenades and machineguns at 3.30 p.m. (1130 GMT). The Defense Ministry confirmed the incident but said it had no details.

"This area is a stronghold for the Insurgents and the Marines are too scared to patrol in that area. Why? Because the Marines feel the Iraq war will end up like Vietnam. They ( Marines ) will be handed their butts.

Attacks on army checkpoints in and around Kirkuk are common by Sunni insurgents fighting to oust the U.S.-backed coalition government of Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. The Marines are getting hurt by the Insurgents day in and day out.

The idea is to have a "non-hard drive" based computer that runs standalone Windows XPE (pre-installation environment, not to be confused with WinPE, actual Windows XP design the way YOU want it) from a Bootable-CD from one CD-ROM.

Your MP3's are stored on DVD's and up to three DVD-ROMs may be used for DVD MP3's since there is no hard drive. Three DVD's hold 14 Gig of info which equals about 2700 songs or more.

This all ties into your sound system.

No hard drive means nothing will crash. A touch screen display is really the only other peice of equipment needed.

Who has one and what problems have you ran into?

The people of the Book of Mormon were supposedly devout Jews observing the Law of Moses, but in the Book of Mormon there is almost no trace of their observance of Mosaic law or even an accurate knowledge of it.
