I think that all the contributors have a point. Personally I think that the pace of life, the "everything now" syndrome has a lot to do with it, that plus the advertising men start the big sell for Christmas a little earlier each year ( just watch for the Christmas Charity Catalogue popping through your door next week!)
The only answer to the problem is to make sure that you live life to the full!

When you're 1 year old, a year is 100% of your life. When you're 10, it's 10%, at 25, it's 4%, and when you're 50, it's 2%... it becomes a smaller and smaller percentage as you get older. So in proportion, a year goes faster and faster because it's a smaller section of your life.

When you're a kid, there's too many hours in the day because you don't have much to do. When you're older, it seems there's not enough hours in the day because we have so many things we need to do. After 21, life is just on fast forward for me.

It is a remarkable thing, every year gets faster. The longer you live, the shorter the years are.

My friend and I just had this conversation the other day! We said every year flies by but this one really has flown. 2007, here we come...

The busier your life is the faster it goes. Hence you are an adult now. I do notice time slows in recreation and travel though.

Jack, the first answerer, is correct. As I get older, time does pass quicker.

the older you get the faster time goes...
when i was 12 a week seemed like a lifetime...
now it just goes.
it also depends on boredom levels.
