No. Being Jewish is not just a religion. Being Jewish is a culture and a people. All those who are Jewish descend from the original 12 tribes of Israel ordained as The Chosen People by God.
Mormons are people who believe in Jesus Christ, but they also believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet that was equal to Jesus.

Mormons say that they are the only true followers of Jesus Christ left on the Earth. So some would call them Christians, but they believe in works dictating which heaven you will go to, so really it's kinda up to you if they are Christians or not. They aren't Jews though.

Mormonism is not a true religion. It is a religion founded by Joseph Smith, which in no way sounds Jewish to me. He claimed that some angel, named something that no one has ever heard of, and gave him his commandments on precious metal. Now, the Christian commandments were inscribed in stone by God himself. Why would God send an obscure being, (the angel) to give Joseph Smith his doctrine, when ours were put in stone. The entire Mormon thing is a lot of hogwash to me.
