While we calmly consider rocks in space as fun and occassional sparks of color in a night-time sky, there are some pretty big things that are cruising around up there. July 3 a big one will be passing nearby and in 2009 a rock about 300 yards/meters across will be passing by closer than those geosynchronous satellites that beam our phone calls, news, Internet, and TV to us. Congress recently mandated NASA to do some planning (Near-Earth Object (NEO) Detection, Characterization and Threat Mitigation). Should we simply be about our lives and leave space alone or spend the money and effort to protect ourselves from some unknown event like that which wiped out the dinosaurs?

I have low blood pressure, especially in Summer, I feel dizzy and tired. I know that alcoholic drinks raise my blood pressure for a while, but I'm not a frequent drinker. Also salted stuff would help but I noticed that only the systolic goes up, while the diastolic stays low, is it possible? I measure my blood pressure at home, in the morning, sometimes it's 86-56. I'm forty years old, I weigh around 127 lb. What type of food would help me feel better in the Summer time? Should I reduce sweets? I walk, but if it's hot outside, I have to exercise inside. Please, help me.

I am a beautiful black woman who has primarily dated good looking white men. I have had gruff about my choices in relationships and have no problem dating men of my race. I know that movie is your bible, and now that the brave soldier that your god and leader Michael Moore slandered has died, I am sure that you will be gathering at your local cafe and raising your glass of wine to toast his passing and to chant Cindy Sheehan's name 3 times.

I mean, your other drum beater Ted Rall has written and drawn your opinion that our brave men and women are either white trash dummies or coherced poor minorities that are getting what they deserve. So don't deny it. At least be honest with yourself.
