I have low blood pressure, especially in Summer, I feel dizzy and tired. I know that alcoholic drinks raise my blood pressure for a while, but I'm not a frequent drinker. Also salted stuff would help but I noticed that only the systolic goes up, while the diastolic stays low, is it possible? I measure my blood pressure at home, in the morning, sometimes it's 86-56. I'm forty years old, I weigh around 127 lb. What type of food would help me feel better in the Summer time? Should I reduce sweets? I walk, but if it's hot outside, I have to exercise inside. Please, help me.

you feel dizzy maybe because you have low blood pressure. my advice to you is maybe check with the doctor to find the cause. if your blood pressure is 86/56 and normally you get that reading, this means that its your normal range. by the way, the normal blood pressure for adults is 100-120/60-80.

if your problem is not hypoglycemic (low blood sugar), taking sweet will not help. and please dont take too much salt, its not good for health.

Are you keeping well-hydrated? *Any* drinks should raise your blood pressure, especially ones that don't have caffeine. Try drinking more & see if it makes a difference. Have you been to a doctor? Have you had your iron level tested?
