Using what we know of the atom, how can you disprove the following view of the atom?

This is a little crazy but here goes. I met an individual who had his own theory of why electrons can not fall in the nucleus. Here is what he said; as we know electrons are attracted to the nucleus because of electromagnetic force. We also know that they never reach the nucleus except in extreme occasion like a dying star. He thinks that the reason why this is the case is because of strong force. We don't know much about the characteristic of strong force only that it is able to overcome the effects of repulsion between two positive charged particles and that it ranges of effect is very small. So he thinks that when the electron enters in to the inner most orbital that the strong force keeps it back from actually going into the nucleus. I couldn't give a reason why that can't be possible so I looking for answer from someone that can explain why that is not possible.

What is going on!?

Ive been with my bf for about 7 months. We used to see each other everyday. Now that Ive started training for 3 months, we have drifted apart but recently during my last month of training, his sister called me informing me that his ex-gf still calls and that he has a special name for her number called 'ziggy'. A few months ago, I was looking thru his phone and saw this msg in his sent box which ended with 'the way I feel about you' I questioned him and he said its an old friend from an out of state university and that he was talking bout ME and it was a typo. So fine, i believed him as before, I never suspected anything, until the sister told me that its the ex-gf and she has been calling him. Apart form that, he has been neglecting me due to his work problems. Is it normal for guys to neglect their gf's when they are faced with problems? Whenever I try to be sweet and cuddle, he says he's not in the mood. Whats going on!

I want to give my Dad a new gun for Father's Day...?

I've got the cash, can spend up to $2,500 on him (I won it at a Casino last week). He probably won't use it much so it'll be more of a conversation piece. Plus, I'll probably get it when he passes away someday.

Should I consider a nice engraved double barrel? Or one of those Winchester "Cowboy" rifles? Maybe a pump shotgun...he does hunt goose once in a while. Then again, he is planning to go on an Elk hunt...maybe a nice .30-'06.

He's got all kinds of different guns, but this would be his second NEW one. The onter was his first .22 bolt action he got almost sixty years ago.

What are the suggestions?

If you are a commisioned salesperson how can they make u work holiday & not pay holypay?

How cna they make you work the holiday, day before and after when one or more may be your regular day off. And do not give you any holiday pay or less than minimum wage. Do you have the right to refuse. Or is there a way to get your pay coming?
