No, just put the songs you have into your playlist. They do not have to be itunes just transfer them

iTunes is the only software program that works directly between your Mac/PC and an iPod. Without iTunes you can do very little with your iPod.

no, you can download other songs from where ever you like as long as it mp3 then you just have to right click on the music file and open with- itunes an then itunes should open and then it would now be in your list of music, hope you get it working

if you buy a song from itunes you can only use it on an ipod because its protected

no, the songs downloaded on itunes are mp3 formats, so they will work on any mp3 player
