Don't get me wrong, I am a patriot who respects the flag of our country. But, this is an excerpt from the poem about the flag that makes me think we have gone too far and into idolatry.
"I stand for peace, honor, truth, and justice . . . I stand for freedom . . . I am confident . . . I am ARROGANT . . . I am PROUD.
When I am flown with my fellow banners . . . My head is a little higher . . . My colors a little truer. I BOW TO NO ONE.
I am recognized all over the world. I am WORSHIPPED . . . I am saluted . . . I am respected . . . I am revered . . . I am loved . . . And I am feared." (Emphasis added) -"My Name is Old Glory" poem by Howard Schnauber

Who else besides me thinks that this poem goes too far?
My belief is there is only one God, that of the Holy Trinity, one eternal God in three divine persons.
