I recently had bronchitis about 1 month and a half ago, and since then I have gotten most of most singing voice back, but I still cant get back to my normal upper register. I am a first soprano and while singing really high notes my voice either cuts out completely or a very airy sound comes out. It seems that sometimes when I dont sing for a couple of days, I can reach my high notes better. Does anyone know anything I could try like vocal warm ups or maybe I need vocal rest to get my upper register back?
