Type M xD cards use a different type of digital encoding for storage of image. They are not compatible with many older cameras.

This type of card was developed so that the technology can support storage up to 8Gb in a single card

I think the Fuji F10 is compatible with both types of memory card, but check it out with your supplier. Or maybe check the Fuji website?

Good Luck!

I prefer the M, however, I have an Olympus. This page has a really good explaination of the differences. From there, you can choose whic type best suits your purposes.
