Some people like Jay Leno (who I condsider a funny person) make fun of democracy because American Idol recieves more votes than any Presidential election.

1st of all, to Yahoo! Answers : When you read this question, please do not remove it because this is important to me.

2nd, I love America and its values, so I will defend it's right as an American to vote.

In American Idol, 5 year-old girls can vote 10 times, felons can also vote, disabled people can vote 40 times , fugitives can vote, people with warrants can vote. My point is that ANYONE can vote in American Idol, all you have to do is pick up a phone in the comfort of your own couch.

In real elections, only people who are
1)18 years old or older
2)Have registered to vote
3)Without any felonies committed
4)Can vote only once

American Idol has had so many votes because anyone can vote, ANYONE. But in real elections, you have to meet many requirments, and then on election day, you have to actually get up and go to your local precinct to vote.

Actual elections don't recieve many votes because too many people think that it's not worth it to vote on their childrens future.

If your are eligible to vote, and didn't vote then please tell me why didn't you vote.

There was glucosamine i wanted it but it was 39 dollars for one little bottle so i didn't. I got Fish oil. Does this help bones at all like glucosamine does ?

Today was my boyfriends B-day! Well he has to work early in the morning but is off the following day.(Sunday) So, he decided to call his friend to see if he wanted to hang out and play some cards and drink a few beers on Saturday night. So after he invites HIM, he hears him ask his girlfriend if she wants to go over there and hang out with us tomorrow. Now, I have an extreme dislike for this girl. (Maiinly due to the way she treats our friend and how she acts drunk, not to mention sober) Now, I can't be rude but how do we tell him NO about her. We wouldn't be mad if he didn't come but we just don't want her to ruin our night. What do we say to him?

i meet a guy online we chat we talked for phone we meet in person i have a very strong feeling for him but i dont was feeling that he care for me a lot.. he had in his 360 like 42 girlfriends so i knew he just want to be with one and other but when he talk with me was the sweet person. i check his mail and found a lot of new email from girls nastys emails a lot of dirty pic. from girls and after we meet. i was in shock , shaking , wanting to cry and he made accomodations for go to see one girl today in other state, he get so upset with me when he found i went to his email account and i delete his 200 girlfriends on his contact list , i found that one girl is pregnant and telling him dont worry she will take care that baby ...so he ask me give me back my password becasuse i post in his blog all that stuff and he ask me delete my account .and i did it ..but now i think why i delete my yahoo account ?i try to activate again but i cant. He is a trash i'm very hurt.I need advice guys

This guy that I lost my virginity to is a total manwhore. He sleeps with all his friends (all girls) and treats all of them as if they were his girlfriends, but never commits to any of them. I made the STUPID mistake of sleeping with him and thinking I could change him- yeah right! And now, he expects me to be like the rest of his harem and be friends with him, exchanging sexual remarks/favors but being okay with him sleeping around- a lot. He continually calls me, text me, etc. And I feel bad ignoring him. I don't want to shut the door on the big part of my life that he became when I lost my virginity to him. But I really can't take being friends with him because he has this way of, when he's talking to me, making me feel like I'm the only girl he wants and it gives me this false hope. And then I'm crushed all over again everytime I know he's slept around. I'm sick of being the f*cking doormat, but it's like I'm addicted. What should I do?

joint pain in any part of the body can occur with what doctors call flare ups. So far treatment is available & works most of the time but for ex. his last flare up was in his knee, took him to ER, took 4 shots of morphine to ease the pain. Regular Dr put him back on prednisone for anothr 10 days. He has so many meds its unreal.
He is also a diabetic with meds & asthma w/meds whn needed. He doesn't smoke or drink. He also takes depression med because he is only 41 and isn't used to sitting around and not being able to work.
