I live in Cumming, Georgia (30 miles north of Atlanta), and my 21st birthday is this Friday. I’m not interested in bar-hopping, casinos, and big parties. I just want to go somewhere that has a lot of history, and also some great and classy entertainment; I love orchestra concerts, theatres showing classic movies, museums, plays/musicals, etc. Also, I’d love somewhere to dine at a vegetarian restaurant, and even stop by a café to relax a bit. And, of course, I’d love to go somewhere that has a nice shopping district. I’d even like to go somewhere to try new things (like ice-skating, rock climbing, etc.). With that said, I can only travel for a two-day span anywhere in the south-east region of the US. Also to note, a buddy is coming with me.

So, do any of you have a suggestion on where to celebrate my birthday? I would love to know. Thank you to all who answer.

I have been to many cities in the U.S that were clean but never been anywhere that was dirty and trashy looking. What do you feel are nasty cities?

I'm wondering if there are any laws, park policies, barriers that would prevent someone from standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon.

It's my BF's Birthday in Febraury and I want to take him on a mini vacation.I have a budget of $500 dollars and I live in Los Angeles. I want to travel somewhere nearby where I can either take a car or a cheap plan ride. I also want to travel for only 4-5 nights.

So far I have gone to Seattle, WA Puerto Vallarta Rosarito and Ensenada on that budget.

Can anyone local tell me where they go for the weekends and give me some useful links. They can be hot or cold climates. thanks for any help. If time is a factor just add a city and state and I can research. thanks again.

without a hamburger in their right (or left, if they are left
handed) hand? And it's that is why you can see all these Americans strolling along the main streets with hamburgers on their hands?
Those who can't afford that many hamburgers are required to carry a coca cola or some other bottle of soda, and it may even be empty, but still a must?

What all does Florida has in store for four guys for four days (and nights)? We ain't interested in theme parks or museums or aquariums...Beaches, water sports, rugged bars, alligator-parks and yeah, some night clubs will do....
