It's my BF's Birthday in Febraury and I want to take him on a mini vacation.I have a budget of $500 dollars and I live in Los Angeles. I want to travel somewhere nearby where I can either take a car or a cheap plan ride. I also want to travel for only 4-5 nights.
So far I have gone to Seattle, WA Puerto Vallarta Rosarito and Ensenada on that budget.
Can anyone local tell me where they go for the weekends and give me some useful links. They can be hot or cold climates. thanks for any help. If time is a factor just add a city and state and I can research. thanks again.

How about Las Vegas? You can get some really great package deals there - especially if you can go during the week. Las Vegas has become much more "Family" oriented and it's really a lot of fun. That's not too far of a drive from LA or you can even get some cheap plane fares from LAX.
Just out of curiosity I checked a package that includes:
R/T airfare for 2 from LAX to Las Vegas
