Please tell me the story and situation. Is it a good idea for myself?

I've done it twice! At the time I was married, though- and had 3 young kids.... but I would think that would only make it more difficult. SO, if you're alone, I would just suggest that you have at least 3 months savings to live on while you look for a job and get that first paycheck! Also, if you'll be renting, a lot of places will want 3 months up front if you are not employed when you move (but will be looking). We just decided to sell our house in San Jose, CA and move to lake Tahoe (in 1980). We bought a home in LT, my husband (now ex) found a low-paying job in a few days and took it - but kept looking and changed jobs after a few months. The other time, we moved to Las Vegas with no jobs. Same thing, but this time we rented an Apt. and got jobs quickly again. Six years ago, my 3 daughters, a son-in-law and a grandson and myself moved to Nashville. Two of us had jobs waiting for us that we had interviewed for before moving.
Sure, it's a good idea!!! It's an adventure! Like I said, just have enough money to carry you through! Good luck to you!
P.S. We LOVE it here in TN and have no plans to ever move again! Now I have 3 grandkids- 2 were born here.
