I'm looking for the opinions of others when it comes to the pro's and con's of Pennsylvania commonwealth.

Be brutally honest.

I grew up in Pittsburgh, and while I'll always consider that city to be home...the rest of the state truly has done nothing for me (I spent a few years in the central PA (Harrisburg) area after college before moving to Houston, TX for a real economy.

I'm looking forboth positive and negative opinions on the commonwealth from those that have either once lived there, and those that currently do.

If so, how did you feel about leaving your family and friends behind? Were you scared? How did you meet new people, and did you have problems finding a job? Did starting a new life somewhere else change your life for the better?

We are considering a trip there - and of course haven't been able to book a room in one of the casinos so we will have to stay elsewhere and wondered if any of the other hotels in the area offer shuttle service to the casinos - so if you have been drinking then you don't have to drive back to the hotel?? Thanx so much!!!!

I am thinking of applying for flying instructor work in the US. I have a husband and 2 small children. We would like to go somewhere where the weather is good and preferably hot with beaches. Somewhere a little like San Francisco but with better climate and beaches. Not boring but quite lively but not too big either. Any suggestions? What about Naples in Florida?!

From ocean to ocean (ie. San Diego, CA to St. Simons Island, GA), what is the shortest mileage across America? The shortest I found is 2316.5. Are there 2 other cities on each ocean that is shorter? If possible, staying off interstates is preferred.

I have my opinions on both a) having grown up there, and b) from simply doing some basic studies and observations on the common"wealth" as a whole.

Though, I'm curious as to what the opinions would be from others.

Have fun, and be brutally honest.

I am 25, married and middle class. My wife and I only buy what we can afford.

We have no debt at all other than our house and one of our cars, and both of the loans will be paid off in 1 year.

A friend of mine bought a huge house, has a house loan and two equity lines of credit, two car payments and tons of credit card debt.

He has a middle class salary and is afraid he will never be out of debt.

Everyone I know has SUVs, big houses, and vacations that they can’t afford and can’t pay off.

Why do Americans have so many high purchases when they can’t afford them?

What happened to buying what you could afford, or a smaller house or car?

Why is everyone in competition with having the most stuff?

I have a guy from England coming to see me next week. He's flying into Newark Airport and we need a place to stay (our previous hotel got double booked). Where is place that's not too far away but with stuff to do and kind of romantic? NYC isn't really an option. Any suggestions?

Right now I live in Pennsylvania, and I am thinking about moving sometime in the future. Change will do me good, I think. I haven't been to many places so this will be a big step for me. It will just be me and my black lab. I want to live where the leaves change colors in the Fall, and winter is snowy. Florida is definitely out of the question :-)
