okay i was orginally going to this beautiful place in key west but some stuff didn't work out so i am now trying to find available areas in Hawaii.
Seven people are coming.
Any of the islands.
Near some sort of town (so we can go out to dinner)
has to be available in these dates (can be a bit flexible) December 22 January 5.
Any type Hotel, B&B's Villas.
Nothing totaling more than 1400 please.
Oh nothing on the island of Oahu. Nothing commercial.
Find me something good.

MY boyfriend is thinking about re-activating and going back into the Navy where he served in Hawaii for 8 1/2 yrs. He is thinking about re-joining and I have my reservations. I know things are expensive, but I do have a BS degree and we would both be working. Does it really suck to live in Hawaii or are my daydreams about it being wonderful, just daydreams?

So, for a writing assignment, I was writing prose about Keawakapu Beach. Then I wondered what Keawakapu means, exactly. I've just spent the last 3 hours searching for what it means, and I've given up! Please! Anyone who lives on Maui--what does Keawakapu mean in Hawaiian? Is it just a name for your Maui beach? I'm booking a week-long trip in October through Orbitz and before I check out they pop up a bunch of features (Luau's, helicopter rides, transportation, etc). Is it more convenient (and cheaper) to add them along to my reservation or just purchase when I get to Hawaii?

What is the reason that there are protests against the Super Ferry? You would think that easy access to the Islands at a reasonable price would be a good thing. Tahiti's ferrys are nice and appear to cause no problems. they are inexpensive and very effective. Is this something that the Airlines are promoting because the Ferry will take business away from them?

So, my bf, my bro, and his gf have saved plenty of money for this vacation. Four of us still have not made up our mind though. My bf suggests that we all go to Hawaii, but my bro thinks that Bali is much better option.

Anyway, what do you all think then? Which destination would be more expensive and costly, btw? How much should we prepare for Bali or for Hawaii? What's the benefit of travelling to Bali instead of Hawaii (and vice versa)?

I'm a guy, not a lady. I plan to wear a sarong, a t-shirt and kukui nut necklace my entire visit with board shorts underneath for hitting the waves, with Teva sandals?

Hi, I am trying to plan a nice relaxing, somewhat luxurious beach/diving vacation for my husband and I in the late Oct-Nov range and can't decide if we should go somewhere in Hawaii or Mexico? it will be for me and my husband, we are both 25. We want to go in October. I am also pregnant and will be about 5 months pregnant then. we are newly weds so this will be our honeymoon. some activities that interest us would be Snorkling, nice soft sandy beaches, maybe horse backriding, although i'm not supposed to but whatever! shopping and nightlife are not our thing, although i would like to get an outfit or two and some suveniers. we love rainforests and birds, so somewhere where we could take a tour of that would be nice. also i hear that there are some sunset cruises, that would be romantic.

we have never been so we don't really know where to go. our other choice would be a cruise of the carribean but we don't have passports or time to get them.
