There area few good ones in Waikiki, but my favorite even though it is a commercial restaurant is Denny's. Here's why I like it; I figure your probably going to be staying at a Waikiki hotel and this is pretty close to many of them on the east end of Kalakaua right on the beach. The restaurant is on the second floor and is open to the air on two sides. The birds fly in and sneak food once in awhile and you can sit and view honolulu bay right from your table! The beach and the sounds of the ocean will be right in front of you. I can' think of a better way to wake up and share a breakfast with someone!
Denny's is on the main strip going down the beach in Waikiki headed towards the park and is on your left on the second floor. You should see it no problem.

1221 Kapiolani Blvd. (Near Ala Moana Shopping Center)
or 1414 Dillingham Blvd. (In Kalihi) The food is excellent and plentiful, and the prices are reasonable

Go to the Seaside Bar and Grill in the Waikiki area (corners of Seaside and Kuhio Ave).
They serve reasonable breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.
