This might sound like a stupid question to some, but whatever. Ok, the other side of the globe is a day ahead of us, right? So, its Sunday over there now due to time zones, etc. It takes approx 23 hrs by plane to travel from America to Africa. If I got this right... if you left the U.S. Monday morning; by the time you got to Africa it would be Wednesday morning over there and Tuesday back in the U.S. As I understand it, you can't physically/literally travel back and forth thru time. I don't believe time travel is possible. But, during the plane ride what happened to Tuesday? I don't get it.

My husband and I had wanted to take a Hawaiian vacation for our 5th wedding anniversary, but I sprained my ankle quite badly, and we're not going to be able to travel. How can I make a special "mini" Hawaiian/tropical celebration at home for our anniversary? We live in Minnesota. The only idea I have so far is to get some pineapple...obviously I'm going to need something else besides just that!

are their guidelines for luggage strict? I talked to a rep from Amtrack and she told me that the luggage has to be certain measurements like 24x32x15 or whatever but are they really strict with that or can I bring my adidas bag, its the medium soccer bag and maybe some other bag?

I reserved too late, and the train is sold out. I don't want to go by bus. is there ways I can still get onto that train? can I buy ticket for another train and get onto the train first....? or have to wait till the last minute untill sb. cancel the reservation?

i'm wondering roughly how long it usually takes to get through customs. I"m coming home from living in china for a while and i need to book a ticket from china to chicago, then chicago to st. louis, so i was wondering how long in between my chicago to st. louis, MO flight should i wait. i'm doing this myself. So any tips would be greatful.
