A city near the beaches of Florida. The weather might not ALWAYS be that nice, but for the most part the weather is beautiful and I've always liked living in the eastern parts of the United States more than the West.

My island state- SEYCHELLES! Popular to European vacationers, mainly German, French & British .

**Seychelles named the World's Best island destination in Africa and the Middle East by Travel + Leisure readers.***

Map reference: Africa, 115 islands scattered 4degrees south of Equator, Northeast of Madagascar, Maldives to the North east.

Capital: Victoria, situated on main island Mahé (25km long,8km wide).

Area comparative:2.5 times the size of Washington, DC

Natural hazards: lies outside the cyclone belt, and secluded from plate activities. Severe storms are rare; short droughts possible.

Cimate: tropical marine all year round, ranging 25-29 degrees. High humidity, but cooler during May-Sept due to South east Monsoon.

Nation : Seychellois nation are composed of immigrants, mostly of French, African, Indian, and Chinese descent. No indigenous group.

Official languages: English, French, and locally based Seychellois Creole.

Other notes; A tax haven, with a fairly high living stds and intensive social welfare for all its citizens, topping the list of the most economically & politically stable in Africa.

Ecology & conservation: connected with World Bank project for biodiversity conservation, and home to a UNESCO World heritage (Aldabra Atol).

Forget about the pacific northwest. We have some pretty nasty weather in the winter and rain the whole year except for summer, (and then we usually have some). People keep moving here thinking that it's great, then get disgusted with the weather and taxes, housing prices, etc., and move away again.

The Pacific Northwest has a good temperate climate (Washington, Oregon, and Northern California).
