Why don't international flights from North America (Califronia) to Asia fly over the Pacific Ocean?

Why don't international flights from North America, specifically the West Coast, to Asia fly over the Pacific Ocean. The length of time to fly over the Pacific Ocean is the same as flying over the Atlantic Ocean.

Is it normal to be 19 & not wanting to drive?

I don't ever wanna drive I have but.....can't!! I can't make turns I'm just an awful driver I have driven before and had tons & tons of practice but can't ever to get it right!!! I just wasn't born to drive a dang car I'm scared of it but not too scared. Am I the only one like this?

Where should I go for vacation? Suggestions please for young couple on a budget...?

Coming out of Cincinnati, OH. area. I want to go somewhere warm. I would love to go somewhere and go scuba diving. And I would really love to find something all inclusive. I am looking to spend around $3,000 Total.

Best splaces to see storms?

May sound a bit odd, but Id love to have a break somewhere that has really heavy downpours and thunder&lightning storms (mainly), Im thinking india during the monsoon season but will it still be unbearably hot or do the rains cool everthing off.

Im sure there are some great places in the USA or Asia during certain seasons (not really after hurricanes and tornado's however). But where to go?
