Travel (General) - December 2006

Is it a scam? What happens if your "offer" is not accepted? Do you get all your money refunded? How long until you get a yes or no answer from Priceline? If you request flights to and from on a specific date, do they get you tickets on those dates? I dont really care about the time of day, but I do need to stay on a specific date. Any personal experiences with this service would be mych appreciated!

it was my first time to book a hotel online tonight,but only a small deposit was taken off my credit card.will the hotel take the full fee off the credit card soon afterwards or do i have to give the rest of the money on arrival?

I am going on a trip and I'm not sure how much I can pack and how much it can weigh. I don't want to get up there and they say I have too much and have to throw some stuff away or pay more. Plus, I know you are allowed to have a carry-on, but I am not sure how big or what you can bring with you. Also,..what can you do on a plane to pass the time? Thank you! :-)

What documents are needed for travel to Germany? I know I need a passport, I won't be there long enough to need a visa. But I have just read that proof of medical insurance and proof of sufficient funds (how do you prove that) is required, is this true? Is there anything else I will need? My daughter has a dog that has got hold of her passport & put loads of teeth marks on it and also nibbled the the bottom right hand corner, yet everything is still visable: Is it still legal, & will she still be allowed through passort control, taking it that she travels through the most stringent control centre with the biggest job's-woth people imaginable?

I've always wondered this, because airports in the USA are pretty well watched, with security cameras everywhere, but are there security cameras in the public bathrooms? Some say no, because that'd be a violation of privacy, but some say yes. Also, when I went to DCA, in a pre-security zone (before you enter security) I entered their bathroom and saw no cameras - that's a big flaw in security! But I know airports are different - so tell me what you know...preferable if you work at an airport.

I feel like I'm akward all the time and I have trouble talking to people. One time I saw this girl I knew and I didn't expect to see her and we talked and when she left my mom said she could sence the akwardness in my conversation. One time someone was looking at me and I got scared and I didn't know what to do so I said "Hi" and my voice cracked. I'm 15, should be getting my permit soon. I have a very poor sence of dirrection, for example: I went to a very small elementry school and got lost there a few times, I switched to a larger middle school and got lost there, once for a very long time and ended up in some creepy dead end stairwell, then I switched to a much larger high school and go lost there a few times also and walked around with a map for the first week of school, I even had to pull it out a few times douring week 2, not to say I didn't get lost anyway. I once had a terrible nightmirror that I was lost in my school and there were all these dead end hallways with cliffs and elictric wires and I missed the bus and had to hike home through the woods. I don't even know the name of the street right across from mine and I'v lived here for over a decade. I don't know how I can possibly handle driving places. I feel like I'm always confused. How will I not get lost. Please, no mean comments. =(
