Is it a scam? What happens if your "offer" is not accepted? Do you get all your money refunded? How long until you get a yes or no answer from Priceline? If you request flights to and from on a specific date, do they get you tickets on those dates? I dont really care about the time of day, but I do need to stay on a specific date. Any personal experiences with this service would be mych appreciated!

Name your own price tickets - beware:

Taxes are added in AFTER you bid, and can be up to $100 a ticket.

If Priceline gets you a ticket to fly on a plane from A to B on the day you ask, they get to choose what airline, what departure times, and what routing. If you don't like it, or if it isn't good for you, you are SCREWED. The airlines cant help you, they have NO control over it, so don't even ask them to make changes. They cant. Also, NO STANDBY on other flights !!

Basically, your tickets are "use them as they are, or toss them away". Do NOT use Priceline (or Hotwire, same thing) to fly if you think you may need to make changes. NO CHANGES ALLOWED !!! REPEAT - NO CHANGES ALLOWED !!
Besides that, most tickets bought directly from an airline aren't that much more expensive, but a heck of a lot easier to change, go standby, or get the airline to help you if something goes wrong.
