There's a new law saying that everyone needs a passaport (including children and babies) and i heard that only Citizens of the US need a passaport in order to travel, but i would like to know if Residents need their passaport because usually you can travel with your residence card (if you travel by car) but now every one needs a passaport, so do residents need one too? (not the US passaport, but like the one 4rom their country such as Argentina?

I am going to be traveling throughout Italy this summer and I am trying to convince my Mom that it is safe because she thinks I am going to be sexual harrassed or something. So how can I get her to calm down and stop worrying about me ?
