I'm thinking of going there next year to work at an orphanage? A friend of a friend runs the orphanage & has offered me free meals and board if i teach english. Would i get paid? (not essential- don't mind doing it voluntarily) and how much money would i need in savings for about a 6 month stay?

I'd like to travel around the world before I die. Someone said: the world is like a book, and anyone who doesn't travel only reads one page. I want to read the all book.

Before my friend Sera went to Armenia she had a question and said the best answer gets a "souvenir" from Armenia. But so far I haven't received "anything". What should I do??

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070605130958AAFqWC6&r=w&show_comments=true&pa=FZB6NWHjDG3N56z6v_2zVkqkr1Ovm0f_qbAXHAV7GiV_lYITWxSjig--&paid=add_comment#openions

1) Tease her
2) Buy her a one way ticket to Armenia.
3) Lie and tell everyone that she looks like me. lol
4) Make her do 100 push-ups
5) Tell everyone she has a crush on BORAT.
6) All of the above

Or you may suggest a punishment.

Hey everyone. Me and some buds are going up to Pittsburgh in October. The thing is we have no idea what area would be good for us. For those of you familiar with Pittsburgh, where do you think is a good place to spend most of our time (hotel and nightlife) at? We're three 21 year old guys lookin to have an awesome time and socialize at bars/clubs and stuff but with people around our age group. Thanks!

The summer has come and we do not have any plans for vacationing!! We were considering the Berkshires, but we are afraid that there would not be enough to do there to fill a week. In the past we have enjoyed vacationing in Glouster, MA, Kennebunkport, ME, Burlington, VT, San Francisco and many others. We are looking for somewhere to go that is family friendly, has culture, shopping, things to do such as events and museums and possible on the coast. Please help!! We need suggestions, anything you can think of!! Even just somewhere you may have gone that you enjoyed. If you have been there before could you please recommend an affordable, clean hotel. Thanks for your help!

I've been thinking of going on a long trip for a while but feel a bit intimidated.
How would I manage it financially? Should I try to work while I travel?
How would I be able to come back to my job? Would I just take a leave of absence?
How do I figure out where to go? Where do you recommend going?

I'd love advice on any of these questions. Thanks!

As a widow with 3 kids ages 2, 6 and 9.....where should I move to "start over"?

I have plenty of money to buy a decent, nice house for us and to help me live thanks to my husbands Life Insurance & Social Security.

Somewhere with plentiful jobs & activities, low crime rates, great schools and 'tolerable' cost-of-living.

Only places I won't move are California, Florida or Montana (lived in all 3 places and HATED them!!)

I'm willing/amenable to living Overseas as well.

So what do you guys think???

So, I'm going on a 3 week international vacation...I want to get some cute luggage that will stand out so I can easily spot it on the carousel and all that....girly colors and designs, etc.

What I've found so far that I like is the Isaac Mizrahi luggage for Target.
And since I live in Texas, the carry ons from Sam Moon.

If you have any other stores that sell cute luggage, plz share! (Cheap too! So nothing designer...)

Thx a bunch

I am torn over our next family vacation. We are a family of 3 adults and 3 teenagers from Seattle. We would love to do a cruise and see the Western Carribean ( Mexico, Belize, Grand Cayman Island) but at the same time have never been to Hawaii. What is the best bang for our buck and/or fun for the explorer type vacation?

Dirt Roads

The hot muggy air was hard to walk through, as we trudged along those long vacant roads. Beads of sweat trickled down my back, giving me chills even though the warmth was suffocating. We had been out here for hours, and yet we had found no one to help us, no one to lead us in the right direction. We couldn’t find the exit to these escapeless woods. We were trapped inside, being held captive by these nameless voices, contained by its depths.

Exhaustion began to seep into my bones, like a silent disease, slowly eating away my strength. I longed for something to quench my deep thirst, to fill my hunger. We just kept trudging along, hoping for the trees to end, wishing these woods would just spit us out of its belly. The sand just kept sucking us down, making our travels much harder. Insects buzzed around our heads like demonic imps, trying to defeat us with their numbers.

Being lost causes your naked soul to show itself, whether that is strength, confidence, or complete weakness. If it is the latter, God be with you. For when the only thing you can dig for in your spirit is fear and weakness, then you are in trouble. You begin to panic; all the worse possible outcomes surface themselves in your minds eye. You begin to cry out in desperation, Releasing all common sense or instinct. You then wish to just sit down and quit, not wanting to continue your journey through these endless paths. You are content to just give in to the fear inside of you, letting it consume you from the inside out. Leaving you just an empty shell, void of feelings, thoughts, or concern. Your companions are then forced to leave you behind, for you can only hinder the progress of the group. You can only pray for the strength to go on.

There is a strange laughter coming from the hordes of trees that surround you. Scoffing at your hopeless predicament. Birds’ bound from limb to limb snickering and whispering as they watch you slowly pass. I feel as if I am being followed by an unseen shadow. Always just out of sight, darting behind a tree. It may just be my fears, taking form, causing paranoia in the back of my mind. Fear slows you; it causes you to over think situations. Fear makes your mind wander from where it is needed.
