Hi everyone,

We are going to be traveling from Bologna to Pisa for 5 days in January - with lots of sightseeing along the way in different cities and towns (we are renting a car). We have all the regular guidebooks, but I would like to know your Top 10 recommendations inTuscany. It's very nice to have personal suggestions.

I saw them pointing all different directions on most of the buildings. Do they run off water, prevent flooding? They were flat, there would be several of them on one building, and they seemed to point towards windows.

we are planning on visiting italy in the summer but half the family want an action packed adventure and gardaland seems ideal. the other half would like a relaxing sun holiday at the coast so i was just wondering how far away it is from a nice beach.

My friend lives in Milan and is going in for some minor surgery on Tuesday, Dec. 12th. I would like to have flowers delivered, but all the florists I've searched online are extremely expensive, and I just can't afford that. I just want something small and simple, and under $30. Does anyone have any suggestions for hotels outside of Venice? I am going to my honeymoon and would like to stay somewhere nice, but not breaking the bank. We are also going to rent a car so I would have to be somewhere that they offer parking. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have already booked my hotels, rail passes and air tickets to Rome and Venice for my family of six, but I need to know what to do and where to visit whilst over there. The Italy Tourism website wasn't really helpful either. I will be arriving Venice in the 2nd week of December in the late evening, and will be staying at Venice Mestre for 6 nights. I would love to go to Venice Island, but how do I make my way there? Are taxis safe to travel for 3 pre-teens? I will also be going to Rome for 6 nights too, what would you suggest?
