I mean, like in America people tend to love the "tall, dark, and handsome/beautiful" type of person because its exotic like. However, most in Italy are tall dark and handsome/beautiful. So, what are Italians preference in men/women.

lol, I have a feeling I'm going to get answers that say "don't generalize" or "its not what is on the outside, but the inside"...or something to that nature.

Not in terms of clothes sizes, because those are not all the same. But I've heard that what Americans consider average is considered fat in Italy.

So, for example.....would you think a girl thats 5'11", of medium bone structure, and weight 140 is fat? Thanks for the answers!

We are planning on being there for about 2 weeks and going to Florence / Pisa / Rome / Vatican City / Naples / Capri / Sorrento / Pompeii. We are planning on taking trains between the cities (some are only going to be day trips). Is the weather nice in April? She is very into art, architecture, ruins, and food so I know she will get a lot out of this trip (the location was her choice). Any "must do" sites within these cities? Any suggestion about traveling with a teenager in Italy? Any ideas and help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, I know its bad to generalize and that everybody is different but their are some characteristics that people in certain parts of the world tend to have in common. For example, go to Alabama and you'll hear "yes ma'am" and "no sir" every where you turn....I mean, not all do that but the majority.

Here is why I ask. I have heard several different things about Italian men and I don't have a clue if they are true because I've never met an Italian. I have heard that they can be controlling and definitley mama's boys. Then I heard that they are very sweet and know how to treat a lady. Now, you can't be controlling and know how to treat a lady at the same time can you? So, which one is true of most men?

Thank you for your answers!

I'm going to be going to Florence, Rome, and the Vatican City for 6 days in early November for a school leadership program.

What kind of weather can I expect? And, being from Florida, I have no clue on what type of clothing to bring. Would I need a heavy jacket? Will there be times during the day when I could wear a t-shirt, and no jacket?

Also, are things more expensive in Italy compared to other European countries? I've heard that since they switched over to the Euro, things are much more expensive for tourists. And, what are good items to bring back for souvineers?

Thanks so much for the help. :)

I've never even been to a soccer game, but according to everyone else even the females act about soccer in Italy the way males act about football/basketball in America. So, is this true?
