I would like to find a friend in Germany. She lived in Fulda, but I think she moved from there. I really miss her, as she was so good to me when I lived there with my ex-husband and I was in a very bad marriage. She was a very big support to me and helped me through many bad times. I don't want to give her name just yet, as I also respect her privacy.
If anyone out there knows of a web site I can go to to help me find her I would really appreciate it.

My wife's cousin in Germany (they are both from the Philippines)lives in Germany and e-mails my wife in German...mostly cards and send them to my wife (we both don't speak German) my wife can't read the computer as she is legal blind and when I get an e-mail from her cousin and tell her its in German she get annoyed but does not tell her cousin..i just send a reply saying :"sorry we don't speak German" but they (in Germany_) think i should i guess as my relatives all came from Germany...yeah about a hundred years ago! but i never learned this language as its hard enough for me in English///whats a good response to them besides sorry we don't understand German? thanks for any good advice.

I'm going to Germany after a week in Spain in late May. I'm in my early 30s. Most people tell me I should visit Berlin and Munich. I just want to soak in the German culture and get some great photos and use what little of the 8 years of German I remember. I was told to spend 3 days in Berlin and a 1.5 days in Munich, taking trains between places and a train back to Frankfurt to fly home to SF. Any recommendations?

Hi,

I would like to spend my summer holiday in germany to improve my german language n to visit the city. I am trying to figure out which city I should go but since I've never been to Germany, I don't have a clue which city to go to.

I want to go to a city that's small but enough to entain myself, historical, medeival and alot to see like Rothenburg Ob der Tauber. However, a friend of mine told me the Barvrian's don't speak the proper german accent than the northen cities (like Scottish and Britian). Is that true? Any recommendation of where I should spend a month in Germany and by which organisations?
