Thanks "thetravelingmartins", I so want to take my husband to Bamberg and once all the kids are gone (smile), we are on our way. I absolutely loved Bamberg and I'm sure it has changed alot and I can't wait to visit it again. Bamberg was a happy place for me.

I was not a Bamberg Brat but I was a Schweinfurt wife. I went to Bamberg a few times and it was a wonderful small community. I loved the schwimbad there with the wave pool and the slide. (I don't know if that was there when you were or not). The PX on post is very small though. I don't think I would have liked living on post in Bamberg but I would have loved living out on the economy. You should (if you have not already) visit Bamberg again. Things have changed so much and it would be a wonderful experience for you to take your parents or whoever is important to you in your life to Germany. I plan on taking my son to Schweinfurt/Bad Kissingen in a few years to show him where you lived for the first year of his life. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

I was stationed in Bamberg from 1984 - 1986 again from 1988-1990. I got out there and still live here and I think it is a great place to live.
