People, mostly Americans believe Paris is the most romantic city in the world. I've (I'm British) been too Paris and couldn't stand it. Don't get me wrong, I like France, went there 3 yrs in row in summer when I was younger plus 2yrs to Disneyland Paris, but Paris (ignoring Disneyland) is full of tourists. What's so romantic about a city/place that is magnet too crowds. I believe if it were still the 19th Century, the city would have been very romantic. But in this day and age, there's nothing romantic about it. Portugal, is the most romantic country in the world to me and Venice is the most romantic city/place. Why, you ask; because it's hot, beautiful villa's everywhere you looked (In Portugal there was a villa that looked like Disney's Aladdin, Agrabah Palace. It was fantastic), no tourists (more relaxing then travelling in packs and searching for landmarks), enough people who could speak or understand English and still be able too keep there accents intact. Gotta love those accents
