We went on a Carnival© Cruise through Italy, Spain, France and Croatia. We were nickeled and dimed for everything. Some of these charges were not in their booklet they send you, so you don't know what your getting yourself into. For example, they charged 5 euros for a shuttle into downtown Venice. And, don't even think about using your mini bar in the stateroom. I mean, 4 bucks for a Coke, I don't think so! And if you wanna play bingo, 10 bucks for a card. ONE CARD! C'mon thats rediculous. And a shore excursion costs at least $200 for the three that was in my group, which is outrageous. Does anyone else agree with me?

We're taking a cruise on NCL's Pride of America this August. It's confusing which restaurants are free and which ones have a surcharge. Could anyone tell me what ones are free? Thanks.

I just read the question about the Pilot boat. What I'd like to know is what is the purpose of 2 little US Coast Guard boats and a Pilot boat guiding our Norwegian Spirit into Port Canaveral from NYC.
We had a Pilot along with 2 US Coast Guard boats(small 1's )

My family of five also became very sick for two days. This was due to the fact they would not cancel the cruise and decided to go into a hurricane. The waves were 10 to 12 feet high and we felt all of it. They offered 25 dollars per family member as compensation. The cruise cost us at least 4300.

We are looking to take our first real family vacation since we got married, 8 years ago. We are looking at cruises & want to know what month you will get the cheapest rate. We want to do a family cruise like Disney or something. Our son will be 7 when we go.
