I'm not sure which boat you are looking at, but I would check out this site: http://cruisecritic.com/reviews/cruiseline.cfm?CruiseLineID=24 You can look into more info on NCL as well as the ships to get reviews, it is one of the best.
As with most cruise lines, it really just depends on the boat. They have some fabulous boats and then some not so great boats.

I had to drive from Toronto to NYC. Parked at pier 92 which costs 144.00 for the week.
Have loads of dated pics to :-)
BTW. I was on the Norwegian Spirit and stateroom 9000. That's the very first balcony up front.
