most cruise ships now have a small movie theater that accommodate about 100 people. The last ship we were on, Celebrity Cruise line's Constellation, had a very nice movie theater. Enough room for all who wanted to see the movie. Other ships I have been on they had a place for movies and they also would show movies in the big showroom on certain nights or afternoons.

I've seen movie theaters on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess and Disney. The nice thing about Disney is they're the only cruise line on the sea that offers *FIRST RUN* movies----because, they own them. (That screen on Deck 9 of the Disney ship must be new - it wasn't there last August!)

But I'd only suggest the Disney cruise if you're traveling with kids. Yes, Disney has lots of adult-only stuff, but in general, this is a family experience.

Both of Disney's ships have movie theatres called the Buena Vista Theatre. They are so nice inside. The Buena Vista Theatre seats 300 people. Also, there is a humungous 24 feet by 14 feet LED screen on the Disney Magic's 9th deck. This big screen plays movies all day long. I have seen High School Musical, 20000 Leagues Under The Sea, Mary Poppins, and even the NBA Playoffs and a Red Sox and Yankees game.

Holland Americas older ships have theaters with a capacity of 100 people. Princess Grand class ships have a drop down movie screen that you can watch from the pool area

Hi there! I have been on the Golden Princess, they don't have a movie theater, but they do have movie night where they set up in one of their show rooms a projection with screen and you can watch movies that way. They also have one night on the crusie where you can watch a movie at their main pool. I didn't do it as it was so late, and I wanted to rest up for the next day's excursions, but my roomie did it, and she loved the pool movie. :)
