Vacation to Quebec City. Beautiful city, however I found the restaurants to be extremely overpriced. The average cost of lunch was $50-$60. Dinner was over $100.00 (and we tried several restaurants) All the menus seemed the same. There were some menus that had more gamey food then others, but Pizza seemed to be at the top of every menu. The price of a beer was $6.00 -$8.00! The residents seemed annoyed that we (tourist) were there. Unless you were at an upscale restaurant the service was crappy. It is a beautiful city and we had a very nice hotel with nice staff, but I just feel the prices are crazy for what you get. We had tour guide that was complaining about an American lady that was asking questions about the rates. We also had a bartender that said she can always spot an American that comes in. When I asked how (yes I’m an American) she said because we all act like we should be catered to. Am I being cheap and critical?

We are staying just within the wall of the old city, at the Lowes Le Concorde. Can anyone give me any suggestions of activities catered towards my son and any suggestions of restaurants or things that Mummy and Daddy would enjoy where a rowdy one year old wouldn't be too annoying? Also the hotel offers a babysitting service, like all mothers I am somewhat dubious of this. Has anyone used a service like this before and what questions should I be asking to make sure that this service is safe? Thank you!

I really like Canada, it's such a beautiful place full of opulence. I'm also in love with a French-Canadian. I would love to know more about French-Canadians, traditions, common expressions and things that they do and say for fun. I know they speak French and English, we speak French and English in my country too. Where I come from, we are multicultural and have different varieties of dishes; French, Aisn, African, European... Any advice or opinions just any info would be great!
