Depends on what they like to do. Aquarium is a good place, check with Sepaq though as they were speaking of closing it this summer or this fall.
Museum of civilization has always one or two interactive expo that could interest teens.
Chute Montmorency - higher falls than Niagara, 30 min. from Quebec city- it's wonderful but public transport can be complicated. Check on Internet (below). And if you can, don't miss the real big spectacular fireworks over the Falls, except if someone has asthma.
The old city is really beautiful and touristic with a lot of shops, artists and wonderful views on the St-Lawrence river. Many places with animation on the week ends.
For the paranoid (warning for "gangs" and so on), note that there is much more risk in taking a car to ride than to get any trouble in Canada. Incidents get a lot of coverage in the press but death and injuries come about 1000 times more often from cars and eating bad things AT HOME than from any other ways... So don't take the car and don't eat and... Anyway, living is risky, so I'd rather enjoy the ride than staying at home :)
Just an advice if you never drive in Québec province : care with cars, as many Quebec's drivers do not respect totally the rules, especially pedestrian passages and speed limit. Some drivers may also be impatient with pedestrian, distract people, or tourist drivers. Usually, they drive 10% to 20% faster than the limit, police will not stop until you're alone on the road and at least 10 to 15% faster than limit or faster than the group you're within.
For language, your teens can go with a little dictionary if they want but they won't have difficulties in Quebec city, about half ot the people in every touristic area will speak at least a basic English (often far better than mine :) and others will try to help anyway - if the kids are asking politely.

Quebec City is very french so unless your teenage children speak french, they may have a tough time. There are loads of historic sites throughout the city, the city was founded in 1632 . If you have the time, take an hour or two drive along the St.Lawrence river , you may see a whale or 2. Montreal probably would interest your teenagers more than Quebec City and is only 2 hours or so drive away. Enjoy your holiday.

I used to artwork at a forex change workplace in downtown Quebec city, and it truly is what i imagine you should do: a million-truly change some money at your own monetary corporation before coming. it truly is functional to have some money on your wallet for assistance, or purely paying for a postcard and such issues as that. 2-carry your Visa card. it is commonplace particularly a lot everywhere, it promises you with the perfect price for the day, and also you received't should be stricken about having left over money after your holiday, replacing it decrease back, and so on. 3-do not take tourist's checks. they look a worry. positive, many places will take them, yet charge playing cards are lots a lot less difficulty. 4-i'd truly propose adverse to taking distinctive us forex with you. positive, it's going to be commonplace in maximum places, yet at a terrible price, and also you will get your change in Canadian money besides. And in case you change it right here, you may no longer get the perfect price, and also you should pay provider prices. Your monetary corporation may likely have a better physically powerful deal, because you've an account with them. have interesting in Quebec city, it truly is a appealing city, and that i'm no longer purely putting forward that 'reason I stay right here! :-)

First off- Don't believe anything that jzwigger say's- he is just someone who hates Canada and is trying to give us a bad name.
Montreal is probably a better place for your kids, since that is where McGill University is- so more stuff for students to do. There is more English speaking people in Montreal as well.

you might find the SEPAQ (Parc Aquarium du Quebec) worthwhile for teenage children, lots of different outdoor activities , including an aquarium and wildlife reserve. Most likely to be lots of fun
