my husband and i are planning to go to bali for our honeymoon trip. we want to stay in place where we can soak in the sun, enjoy a picturesque view of the ocean and savor the unique indonesian cuisine. basically, we just want to make this trip memorable but not necessarily expensive.

I've never been there and have some students who've lived there. I do understand that - like many countries - there's street crime and violence. A friend recently told me that it was a "totally violent country" and that life there is basically dangerous all the time.

It's a huge country and I can't believe that widespread violence is the norm. What is it like to live in various parts of Indonesia. Please be as descriptive and specific as possible.

always criticisize Filipinos for their English? This is not to put down my Indonesian friends, but knowing the quality of English there, do you think that that Indonsian (only him not all Indonesians) has the moral and logical ground to mock the Filipinos' English?
