I was accepted into a Japanese credit abroad program for this summer and I will be spending 10 days with a family in Fukuoka during my trip. The problem is I want to bring gifts for the family, but I won't know the dynamics (mom, dad, children) of the family until I get there. What would be a few good ideas to bring them that would be acceptable if there were boys or girls or for the parents? Thanks for the help!

Okay, regulars... newcomers, everyone... listen up.

I know that there's been a lot of hoo-ha with Y/A on the Lina Joy's case and the issue of Human Rights and other stuff that is highly debated in here... (which is GOOD)

In fact, among the main contributors to the issues related in here is ME and I would like to request if we could also 'tone down' on this discussion and move on with our topics?

Honestly, I don't like to drag on something like this for too long. We all know how dumb some people can be and how racist they are, but what's the point going through this over and over again?

I wholeheartedly agree with MOST of the posters in here on the issues they've brought up (and opposed too). Each and everyone got their points and they are all right in their own respective comments.

We just can't please everyone and even worse, we can't be using Y/A to get real answers (or change) on specific issues like this. In fact, we are only satisfying our hunger for curiosity in here.
