Hi, I'm just starting to go swimming regularly and am considering buying some goggles to help stop my eyes getting sore from the chlorine. Are there any special things I should know before buying or tips that anyone could suggest? Thanks for looking

Eventhough I used to go on club websites dedicated to swimming, I have controlled myself a lot. Some of the pictures on these sites are not that bad, they show the different athletes competing in different swimming events, of course with their bathing suits on. Is that considered child pornography to look at these sites? I want everyone to know, I changed and I had aquaphilia at one time, and I still get the urge, but I am working hard in school and that is keeping me from giving in.

Whenever I watch women in the Olympics, I always notice that before the women enter the pool, they will shake themselves. They will move their arms to warm up before they enter the pool. I always find that women swimmers do that, that seems to arouse me. Why is that so? Another thing that arouses me is when women take off their like clothes they wear on top of what they are wearing to go swim. If anyone knows, that would be a real help.

No matter what I do, it seems like I always sink when I swim backstoke. My coaches say it's because I don't keep my head up high enough, but even when I do that, I can't keep my feet above the water and stay afloat. Is there anything I can do?

Mu daughter swims competetivly and this is an aspect her club is not addressing. How do I prepare her for a meet in the few days prior to the event? Her times improve in the first 3 events but for the last 2 she seems to lose steam. She swims/works out 4 times a week and most meets are on Saturday. Should she rest on the Thursday and Friday prior to meets? What kind of breakfast should she have the day of a meet and what kind of snacks should we pack? At what intervals should she eat. She often has 30 minutes between races. She is only 10 but is getting BB and A times for her age group and I want to help her in the best way I can.

I go on the blocks and I don't feel anything. It feels just like an ordinary swim practice and I can't make myself go fast. I think maybe it's b/c my event is somewhere around the last few and by the time my turn comes I was so bored and tired of sitting there for two hours...
any idea to fight the boredom? tried listening to music, reading, sleeping, chatting with my friends but didn't work.

at swim meets i usually do very well in my events if i am all warmed up and toasty to go.
the thing is i cool down really fast. like if i arrive at my lane a 100 before my body turns numb and i feel like i can't swim to my best potential. this mainly affects me in 50 free.
tips on how to stay warm and not let this affect my swim?
