I go on the blocks and I don't feel anything. It feels just like an ordinary swim practice and I can't make myself go fast. I think maybe it's b/c my event is somewhere around the last few and by the time my turn comes I was so bored and tired of sitting there for two hours...
any idea to fight the boredom? tried listening to music, reading, sleeping, chatting with my friends but didn't work.

try not to sit around and do nothing before the swim meet.Try jumping around and run around just to get you pumped up but not to much till you are too tired to swim.

You should probably quit swimming and just watch lots of TV.

i know you have tried listening to music, but what about pump up music? also, dont just sit and wait, jump up, run around, be active.
