What happens if Player A breaks and Player B then has to play and pot what colour he wants. What if he pots a Red and a Yellow on his First Shot can Player B now pick like when you pot one of each on the break or is it a fail. Where Player B will be what ever colour went down first????

I'm thinking about opening a pool hall. Could you guys give me some feed back pros n cons. Where I live we have a couple in the next city but the one in my city is runned by a old grumpy guy who wont let you wear hats, no cellphones, and only country music. I know we are in need of one. Also where is a good starting point (where to get good deals) for buying the accessories. Happy Holidays

Sorry for asking such a lame question, but I just started playing and I am unsure when I can have the cue ball in my hand. Please correct me if I am wrong, it is when

1) The cue ball hits no ball
2) The cue ball hits the opponent's ball
3) The cue ball flies off the table
4) The cue ball hits the black ball when it's not supposed to be hit.
5) The cue ball goes in to the pocket

Are these 5 cases correct? Are there more?

Hey I was in a Yahoo pool room the other day and there were 30 or so "robots". I don't think they were all people because they had very similar names, weren't playing games, and spamming in the lobby. What is the deal with these people...why are they in the game?

...and end up making a break of only 8? (Not a trick question; it is possible - I know the answer).

In this case, you only have the black remaining and are snookered on it. Rather than playing your opponents ball out of the way (or even potting it) using the free table rule, if you play a plant with their ball, and their ball then pots the black, is this allowed?

Well she ran the table almost everytime and I lost my shirt! We were playing $200/game, damn I got hustled. Then later, I was watching ESPN and could of swore the same lady was on TV playing some tournament with Allison Fisher, but I only was able to watch for about 30 seconds... could it be that same person? Who is she? Or am I hallucinating??
