At a snooker hall!!

The two places I'd recommend are:

Rileys in Victoria is good. There are some decent snooker and pool players there quite often. I saw Steve Knight and Tony Drago in there last time. It's open 24 hours which is nice and you can play all night for about £20. Some really nice tables there too. Usually during the day etc. it's more expensive than most Rileys clubs.

Centre Point: It's at Tottenham Court Road tube - the entrance is in one of the tunnels leading into the tube station. This one doesn't have many tables but it's central and it's not usually that busy. It keeps switching between being 24 hour and not and there's a guy that works there week days and he's really moody and rude but for playing it's fine.

Rather depends what part of London you live, Tracy. Try Googling Snooker and your postcode for the nearest snooker hall or check out yell.com. London's a big place and we could be here all day trying to second guess you. :)

I can tell you if you live near Wembley/Neasden, the Ron Gross Snooker Centre is a great place. Some excellent players play there, or used to. It might not even exist now (?) but if it does, it's well worth checking out. I used to go regularly during the Benson and Hedges Snooker and was always made very welcome by the proprietor, Ron Gross. Not seen him OR the club for a long time so he might even have passed on, I don't know. Hope not. A great character!
