It is Three cushion billiards from Carambole billiards family.
The game consisted of two white cue balls and a red object ball and is played on a table with no pockets.

I have never heard of a billiards game with 3 red balls. The game of billiards itself is played with two whites(1 slightly off white) and a red.

i think you are talking a bout the game of billard called curth throat. thats the only game i know that uses 3 red balls and no pockets, but it has 3 yellow balls also and 3 blue balls. you usually play it with 3 people. i think thats the one you are talking about.
