I do a lot of flipping and I always have on 10lb. test because that is the only rating I've seen on the reel I use (It says 10lb./250 yrds or something like that).
I have lost a lot of fish in weeds and around structure/ I've seen that the pros are using 20lb+ test when flipping. But, I've never seen a reel that has a rating for line that heavy (unless it was saltwater) so how do you determine what weight the reel can handle without knotting up or damaging the reel? Thanks in advance!

Any advantages one over the other? It seems that I can get a no.11 gun cheaper than a 209. I currently have a 50 cal. that uses a 209 primer, but I have never fooled with the no. 11's.

hello, i am 27 years old from Brisbane, My wife and I r both licensed and responsible shooters who both grew up in shooting families. We often shoot on a property at Roma but i am trying to find other properties that might have pests (Pigs, dingoes, rabbits, foxes) that we could shoot on. We are fully self sufficant when we hunt and always respect the wishes of the property owners. Would love to here from anybody with a property.

Ok, i shoot a compound bow, it's an older model darton, but it's not as accurate as i like, i mean it shoots 3" groups at 40 yards, but i want an actual target bow, i want something smooth shooting, and extremely accurate, but i dont want to spend much money. i'm wondering what's a good bow to look for on ebay, i've seen some older hoyts on there, are they any good for what i'm looking for? Thanks in advance guys/girls.

Just curious how many women hunters there are out there? My husband has always hunted and one of our sons loves to hunt. Never had any desire myself to hunt, but I decided to take the hunters safety coarse and give it a try and I love it. In Ohio its bow season, and I'm doing it and never thought I was good enough to get one with a bow, but I did and I got a 7 Point buck. I was so proud, and I did it on my own, hunting with a friend. My husband was pretty shocked I think when I called him on the cell phone and disturbed his hunting for the help to track my deer down and drag him out of the woods. What a proud day it was. So just anxious to hear about other woman hunting!

I can understand the sport of hunting, the attitude behind hunting, and I respect it and mean no offense. Honestly, just curious, I don't think that hunting's imoral or anything. But why do hunters surround themselves with pictures of majestic animals? Do you just see a photo of a beautiful deer and think "Man, I really wish I could kill that!"?

Are they safe to fire? My stubborn dad (he's 74 years-old) has an antique Winchester rifle that he shoots about twice a year just for fun.
I'm afraid it's so old it'll explode in his face and kill him!
But I can't convince him that it's dangerous!
Is it dangerous or am I being paranoid?
He takes very good care of it but it's sooooo old!
Does anyone know if it's safe?

The mag is labeled 10rnds, the manual says "10 (9)".
What the heck does that mean? Is it the spring not broken in?
Or is GLOCK really up to no good.... True If I knew my glock would only hold 9rnds of JHP,... I probably wouldnt have bought it.

I have a 12 gauge shot gun with a barrel threaded for choke tubes. Can I shoot a slug through it. In Illinois, you are not allowed to use a high powered rifle that I used to to use in other states. Will it jam or harm the gun??

For instance, skiing or camping or waterfalls etc.

Preferably in the mid-west, i.e. Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin & Michigan. I am new to the place & don't know what I could be missing out.
