Essentials: Tent. Warm sleeping bag. Foam pad. Butane or propane stove. Cooking pot, plates, and silverware. Simple food, like canned things, hot dogs. Ice and cooler. Flashlight. Bug spray (well, maybe not in November).
Optional: Binoculars for the night sky. Gas Lantern. Pillows. Ipod. Card games. Book. And a battery operated lamp for the tent. Extra batteries.
Enjoy!

Try to get there in daylight so easy to pitch your tent!
Landed up somewhere once with my gf and i had to pitch in the rain and dark.
That said first thing in the morning we had a fantastic sight of the mountain we had camped next to.
Bring a sleeping bag, a blow-up mattress and pillow are also great additions especially if you have to camp on hard ground instead of soft grass..
Butane stove and cooking gear.
Insect repellent, lamps, powerful waterproof torch, back-up candles, dry bag for your clothes.
Matches and lighters in sealed container.
Knife? Gun?
I've never brought a gun before but have never camped in bear country either ...
oh and make sure the tent has all the necessary parts!

Trying to figure how to help you,but looking at the other suggestions only reminded me how much different the weather is here in Newfoundland, Canada,East Coast. The ones before me had some excellent ideas especally about candies and sweets,my only addition I think is about (air mattress),and that cold ground temperature constantly will come through it unless you have a good sleeping bag ,with perhaps a vapor barrier on top of mattress.Have a good safe trip. Let us know how you made out.

bring more wood than you think you will need and an air mattress to sleep on. A comfy sleep makes everything better. Bring a large container for water and a flashlight. Also, if you are going to a campground where you plan to shower, bring some water shoes or flipflops. Nothing worse than cold, yucky water on the shower room floor.

Flashlights(those new LEDs are small, lightweight and shine bright), toilet paper!!!, tent easy enough to stand up in, change of clothes, change of shoes(boots), GPS, walkie talkie (distant ), cell phone (with local emergency #'s) Baggie with fire starter contents, lantern(battery or fuel). It will depend on when where and how long you will be out. Take fozen food, in ice. You can then drink the ice if needed, and the food will last until you need.

Depending on where you are from but usually in Nov. it is cold so take plenty of warm clothes. If you are going to use a tent be sure and take plastic tubs to put chips bread...ect. in so the animals dont get into it. Also it is handy to take a shower bag for your shower. Have fun!!

Yeah, if you are all packed and think you have enough, you are way overpacked. Most people tend to over do it and take laundary home that is never worn and take household items that they never use. Really think about what you will be doing while on your trip and what you will really need. Remember, camping is not about taking all the comforts of home and packing them in tent. It's about getting back to nature and enjoying all that nature has to offer.
