10 years ago being the most recent. My husband and I are going tomorrow for a 'date' and I'm afraid I'll regret it the next day (will I be sore as heck?) - what do you think? Just curious.

An hour and a half is not too long as long as you are only doing a walking pace or a trot. If the horse gallops you WILL feel it tomorrow but you won't regret it. A little soreness is well worth it though, its a great time of year to go out on a horse and be out doors.

Great idea by the way... going on 'date' with your husband, and extra for going out on horseback, that makes for a good date.

I have ridden foe 30 years and still own and show quarter horses... when I get on to work my gelding for the first time in the spring I am sore for 2 or 3 days so I would tell you to just ride a nice easy 1 hour trail ride, dont be tense just relax and enjoy the ride....... the experience with your husband will be worth a little sore muscles

You should be fine with less than 2 hours of riding. Horses rock! Have fun.
