I do a lot of flipping and I always have on 10lb. test because that is the only rating I've seen on the reel I use (It says 10lb./250 yrds or something like that).
I have lost a lot of fish in weeds and around structure/ I've seen that the pros are using 20lb+ test when flipping. But, I've never seen a reel that has a rating for line that heavy (unless it was saltwater) so how do you determine what weight the reel can handle without knotting up or damaging the reel? Thanks in advance!
