Hi

Which Teams do you personallly like, not just because their a Good Team, are Buffalo, Edmonton, and Anaheim for real this year or will Carolina, Rangers, Colorado, Nashville, San Jose, or My Personal Favorite Montreal, is going to take home the Cup.

I repeat I like my chances.

Scum of the sporting world you are! Tell Scottie Bowman to keep his rotten tounge in his mouth, and go away! Joe Louis Arena's a pile steamy dung! That's one man's opinion. Go Kings, the true "Red Wing Killers". I hope you finish in the cellar, Detroit.

This isn't much of a question but a way to say--
TOO BAD OILERS FANS! Your booing didn't help you win.
Hahahaha!!

Pronger comes back to Edmonton and the Ducks (Still #1 in the West) beats your sorry team.
The best thing Pronger did was to get traded. He found out the Oilers fans turn on ex players like a pack of deranged wolves!
Get over it. Pronger likes the good life in Anaheim. No Snow to shovel (EVER) and he can wear shorts and t-shirts YEAR round. Last time I checked, Oilers fans lose colour in their skin because you're covered in snow!

GO DUCKS!!

What is +/- mean in hockey? I am guessing it could mean goals scored Vs goals allowed when a particular person is on the ice....but if that is the case, wouldn't it be hard for the officials to determine who is out on the ice each time?

I'm 24 years old and haven't skated since I was 5 and would now like to learn how to skate. I am wondering how long it will take to learn how to skate properly? How about if I want to be good enough to be able to play a game of hockey every now and then? Any tips or advice for a beginner? Thanks!

My vote goes for: Columbus Blue Jackets (even the name of the team lol) and Carolina Hurricanes (reminds me of a Tide laundry detergent box)

So last night after my game we're all out at the bar, and a couple of the better players were bar-coaching one of our less-great players. His skating's still iffy, he's slow, has difficulty with turns and transitions and stopping, and if he does get the puck can't do much with it. He does try, though, and he does understand the basics of the game. But for C coed, he needs to be way better.

So here's the question. The guys were saying he needs to get more penalties, to play rougher.

I was going to argue, but then I remembered that a lot of the time when I turn the aggression up a notch, I play exponentially better. I fight harder, I take those two extra steps to pass a guy and get to the puck. I give less ground.

In pro games, I watch a lackluster game get far better when one of the teams gets more aggressive.

You players... coaches... what do you think? How much is skill, how much is aggression? How much can you make up for lack of skill with sheer fight?

Alright, long story short: I am 14 and on an all girls' U19 hockey district bound team. (I'm the baby and the main goalie) It's awesome and I love all the girls on the team. Sad thing is, we can't score goals. (FYI: I'm the goalie) We have only had two practiced all season (we live all over the South, and can never get ice time) And on top of that, there is some much inter-fight between the girls that, on the ice most of the time we don't even look like a team. Okay, I have a bunch of questions:

How can we become more of a team?
How can we score?
How can I make this less stressful for me? (going and losing by a shut-out is not very fun)

I am sure in the morning I will have a bunch more questions, so keep on a look out for those. Thanks!!!

I wouldn't do that. I would love an all-hockey trivia game. Well, OK. Maybe put some curling and skiing questions in there, too.
