Because He was drafted by the Leafs, and thought if He could create that big a miracle, he would go for World Peace instead of trying to bring a Cup to Toronto..

Firstly, He spent His life in Middle Eastern desert land - He has no skating experience.
Secondly, part of His message was "turn the other cheek" - if anyone drops the gloves with Him, He won't put up much of a fight.

First off, Jesus isn't Canadian, although I'm sure he wished he was. He simply could have said "sorry" and all the problems would go away.
Second, I'm guessing he would have had problems skating when he never seemed to wear shoes. I can just imagine the blisters.
